T.Y. Ho
EdD, MHC-I, Graduate Mental Health Clinician
Supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate their paths towards healing, connection, and empowerment.
T.Y. Ho, EdD, MHC-I, earned her Doctor of Education degree from Columbia University Teachers College and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the College of William & Mary. She brings over 15 years of professional experience supporting college students in their educational and career development and enjoys working with adults and young adults navigating life transitions.
Drawing from her extensive background in higher education, career wellness and advising, and values-based exploration, T.Y. supports adults and young adults in navigating identity, purpose, and internal or external pressures, helping clients move toward greater clarity and alignment.
T.Y. works with individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family dynamics, questions around balance and boundaries, imposterism, grief or loss, or the demands that come with expectations—both internal and external. She is especially drawn to supporting clients who are seeking greater clarity around their values, identity, purpose, and meaning.
Her perspective is shaped by her lived experience as a second-generation immigrant and Asian American raised in Alabama. T.Y. is attuned to intersectional identities and is committed to culturally responsive and inclusive care. She welcomes clients with ADHD and enjoys working with individuals who are artistically inclined or creatively oriented.
Many people come to therapy feeling pulled in different directions—by competing roles, beliefs, emotions, or life demands. T.Y. strives to create a supportive and reflective space where clients can explore their personal narratives, better understand their patterns, and move toward greater alignment with their values and intentions. She views therapy as a collaborative process of self-exploration, curiosity, and meaning-making, grounded in compassion and thoughtful inquiry.
T.Y.’s therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and humanistic frameworks. She works collaboratively with clients to explore how past experiences influence present patterns, while also helping them examine their current choices, strengths, beliefs, and emotional responses. She encourages the use of imagination, creativity, and play as tools for growth—supporting clients in developing more flexible ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to themselves and others.
