Sinchita Verma Bhattacharya, MA, brings over 30 years of extensive coaching and counseling experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including children, adolescents, college students, couples, and parents. Her unique approach integrates psychology and humanistic principles to address a wide range of challenges.

Wearing various hats in her life, including that of a wife, mother, and sister, Sinchita has gained a profound understanding of human behavior. Sinchita is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor by the state of New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board, USA. She also holds several certifications in various areas, including wellness coaching and Treatment of Depression; Treatment of Anxiety; Treatment of Bipolar; Substance Use Disorders Psychopharmacology; Transcultural Psychopharmacology; Sex, Gender and Psychopharmacology; Psychopharmacology in Antipsychotics; and Pediatric Psychopharmacology from RxP International, New Mexico.

With a deep sense of empathy and a non-judgmental approach, Sinchita specializes in assisting children, adolescents, and parents dealing with anxiety, fear, major life transitions, relationship issues, and more. She also offers support for prenatal and postpartum depression, stress management, burnout, and grief. In today’s post-pandemic world, her guidance is invaluable for individuals of all ages, helping them navigate life’s complexities.

Sinchita adopts a holistic approach, engaging individuals in their unique life journeys. She tailors her coaching techniques to meet the specific needs of children, adolescents, parents, couples, and families. Through collaborative goal-setting, Sinchita empowers clients to cultivate self-care, self-respect, and self-motivation, while also improving interpersonal relationships through achievable SMART goals. She uses cognitive-behavioral change theories, motivational strategies, reflective thinking, super brain yoga, breathing techniques, play activity with children, use of imagery, symbolization techniques and communication skills to assist children, adolescents, and parents to develop self-worth and work toward their own vision for growth. She offers both in-person and virtual sessions.

Additional Certifications and Training:

Sinchita holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology, with a specialization in Clinical Psychology, from the University of Delhi. She also earned a Master’s in Mass Communication Research from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and a post-graduate diploma in Preventive and Promotive Health Care from Hyderabad, India.

Her professional journey includes roles as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in New Delhi, India, where she received recognition for her exceptional work. Sinchita is currently a post-graduate trainee in the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Program at the Child and Family Center, William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology in New York. During the pandemic, Sinchita was honored as a Fellow of the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP) for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Additionally, Sinchita’s interest in spirituality and study of Nichiren Buddhist principles for the past 20 years has helped her develop new perspectives that transcend differences of race, skin color, culture, sex and gender.
