Her love of working with adolescents and children began in her youth as a camp counselor and ski instructor, which shaped her interpersonal approaches infusing play, warmth, and adaptability. Emily also brings professional experience working with school-aged children at New York City school communities and non-profit organizations.
Emily’s integrative therapeutic approach blends psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, and strengths-based therapy with her “down-to-earth” East Coast roots. She provides a collaborative, culturally responsive, supportive, and thoughtful space for individuals to self-reflect and explore their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental environment.
Outside of the therapeutic space, Emily enjoys creativity and play in her daily life. She continues to pursue creative endeavors, enjoys knitting, baking, and the serendipity of living in New York City. On any given day you can find her playing softball in Central Park, seeing a show downtown, or reading in a neighborhood coffee shop.
