Rob Nelson, BA, MHC-I, is a Graduate Mental Health Clinician currently earning his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. With a rich background in teaching, coaching, and counseling children and teens with diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder within school environments, he brings a wealth of professional experience to his practice. Additionally, Rob has worked extensively with adults facing challenges related to trauma, recovery, family dysfunction, and spirituality.

As a Graduate Mental Health Clinician, Rob supports children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in navigating a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, career transitions, grief, family conflicts, and relationship difficulties. He is dedicated to working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is LGBTQ+ affirming. His special areas of interest include somatic work, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems.

Rob’s integrative approach blends cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, and psychodynamic methods. He collaborates closely with clients to create a safe, accepting, and nurturing environment that promotes healthy, healing, and self-loving thoughts, perceptions, behaviors, and growth.

In addition to his clinical training, Rob has a creative background with extensive experience in film and the performing arts. He values the therapeutic benefits of the arts and aims to integrate this understanding into his clinical work.
