Brittany Perez

Brittany Perez, BS, MHC-I, is a compassionate and skilled Graduate Mental Health Clinician based in New York. She is currently completing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University, where she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. Brittany’s professional experience spans various settings working with children, adolescents, young adults and families, including non-profit organizations, foster care agencies, college career counseling centers and college psychology research centers. In her previous role as a behavioral wellness coach, Brittany provided essential wellness services to families and diverse youth in foster care. She worked with children facing behavioral challenges and mental health diagnoses including depression, mood disorders, PTSD, and kleptomania. Brittany is also highly skilled in offering comprehensive career counseling to college students at all academic stages, helping them navigate career paths, build self-esteem, and manage life transitions. She serves as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team lead at a university career center, where she fosters an inclusive and equitable environment for students and alumni.

As a Graduate Mental Health Clinician, Brittany offers both in-person and telehealth therapy to children, adolescents, adults of all ages, couples, and families. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, stress, interpersonal problems, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. A NYC native and Afro-Latina, Brittany is deeply committed to helping clients bring their authentic selves to the forefront, with a particular passion for serving the BIPOC population and marginalized communities.

Brittany is dedicated to cultivating a collaborative and nonjudgmental healing journey that prioritizes authenticity, deep self-exploration, and compassion. She aims to help clients embark on transformative paths toward growth and resilience by exploring and addressing past and present challenges to achieve future goals. Brittany integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and multicultural theoretical approaches in her practice, tailoring her approach to meet the diverse needs of her clients with empathy and insight. Outside of her professional life, Brittany enjoys drawing, listening to podcasts, dancing, exercising, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and dogs!
