Jasmine Xiao

MSED, MHC-LP, Psychotherapist

Supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate their paths towards healing, connection, and empowerment.

Jasmine Xiao, MSED, MHC-LP, is a dedicated therapist based in New York who earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University. Before transitioning into the mental health field, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with concentrations in Marketing and Analytics from Boston College and built a diverse career spanning consulting, advertising, fashion, and finance. These experiences give her a unique ability to connect with clients from all walks of life, bringing a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective to her clinical work.

Jasmine understands the complexities of navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, questions of identity, and the pressures that can arise in work, family, and personal life. She has a keen eye for identifying patterns and exploring the subtle dynamics that shape how people relate to themselves and the world around them. She offers a grounded and supportive presence during times of change, holding space for both external shifts and the inner experiences that unfold in the process. As a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, she also brings a holistic lens to therapy, honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit in supporting overall well-being.

As a staff psychotherapist, Jasmine provides in-person and remote therapy for adolescents, adults, families, and couples. She specializes in anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal conflicts, trauma and Complex PTSD, women’s health, career challenges, and supporting BIPOC clients. A native New Yorker and first-generation Asian American woman, she brings a deep awareness of the cultural nuances and unique challenges faced by BIPOC communities. Her approach emphasizes curiosity, helping clients explore and make meaning of their multicultural and intersectional identities as they navigate their stories.

Jasmine approaches therapy as a collaborative process, offering a steady, supportive presence as clients explore their inner world. Her work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, where she helps clients uncover recurring patterns, deepen self-understanding, and make meaning of their experiences. Also drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, and multicultural perspectives, she helps clients work through longstanding patterns and cultivate more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. Outside of therapy, Jasmine finds joy in yoga and mindfulness, and maintains a meditation practice that supports her presence in her work.
